Gli artisti con più nomination sono stati Justin Bieber con sette, seguito da Megan Thee Stallion con sei.
Justin si è aggiudicato due premi – Artist of the Year e Best Pop – mentre per Megan non c’è stato alcun riconoscimento.

Il video dell’anno è quello di Lil Nas X per la canzone “Montero (Call Me by Your Name)”, mentre l’acclamata Olivia Rodrigo si è distinta vincendo tre premi: Best New Artist, Push Performance of the Year e Song of the Year per “Drivers License”.

Si riconfermano star dei VMA anche Billie Eilish, BTS e Machine Gun Kelly.
